Connect your Sony camera to FrameFast
These cameras use Imaging Edge Mobile with Ctrl w/ Smartphone.
Supported models

What you need
- FrameFast installed on your iPhone
- A charged camera from the list above
- File format set to JPEG or RAW + JPEG — FrameFast does not transfer RAW-only files
- Your iPhone near the camera

Enable Ctrl w/ Smartphone
On the cameraMENU → Network → Ctrl w/ Smartphone. Make sure it is set to On.

Show SSID and password
On the camera2.1 In the same menu, select Connection. The camera displays a QR code.
2.2 Press the Delete button on the camera to switch to the SSID and Password view. Keep this screen open.

Join the camera Wi-Fi
On your iPhoneSettings → Wi-Fi → select the network matching the camera's SSID (starts with DIRECT-) → enter the password from the camera screen.

Open FrameFast and select Sony
On your iPhone4.1 Open FrameFast → Capture tab → tap + → select Sony.
4.2 The app confirms you’re on the camera Wi-Fi. Tap Next.

Pick an event and upload mode
On your iPhoneSelect the event you’re shooting for, then choose an upload mode:
- Real-time upload — photos upload to the cloud as you shoot. Requires internet.
- Shoot offline — photos are saved locally and uploaded later when you’re back online.

Connectivity setup (real-time only)
On your iPhone6.1 If you chose Shoot offline, skip this step.
6.2 If you chose Real-time upload and the app detects no internet, it walks you through configuring the network so your iPhone can reach both the camera and the internet.
6.3 You only need to do this once per camera.
Camera found — start shooting
On your iPhone7.1 FrameFast scans the network and finds your camera. Tap it to connect.
7.2 Every photo you take now appears in FrameFast and uploads to your event.
Troubleshooting
FrameFast can’t find the camera
- Confirm your iPhone is on the camera’s Wi-Fi, not your regular network.
- Check Ctrl w/ Smartphone is On and the SSID screen is still showing.
- Go to Settings → FrameFast and ensure Local Network is enabled.
Connection drops
- Move your iPhone closer to the camera.
- Turn off Bluetooth temporarily.
Can’t see the SSID
- Make sure you pressed the Delete button to switch from the QR code view to the SSID view.
- Try going back to Ctrl w/ Smartphone → Connection and pressing Delete again.
